One amazing winter in my hometown Billerbeck was my initial step to this wonderful sport of freeriding. On a small hill in front of our house, my mum locked for the first time the binding at my boots and told me how to turn left/right. Finally my grandpa saw those first steps on the two wooden slats and thougt that this boy has to go to his homecountry Austria next vacations to learn skiing from scratch. So next day he bought the stuff, booked a train in easter holydays and send me to the beautiful Zillertal. Many hard years of waiting followed, of waiting for someone to go with cause as child it’s not so easy to handle the trip alone… nearly throw whole Germany!
Since I got my driving licence time and things changed. The new independence pushed me and some friends again and again to put up the 850km trip to the Alpes. Finally the Zillertal became my second home. And it is still…
